Turn an upper and lower into printable arch models, with the base, hollowing and stops set for your printer.

Turn a bite-matched pair into two printable arches

Print models builds an upper and a lower model file plus a manifest that records exactly how they were built. You can attach a raw pair to the order, or reuse the aligned lower from an alignment case on the same case file, which saves running the alignment twice.

The order is saved before uploads begin, so an interrupted upload or a closed tab leaves a real case you can reopen. Nothing is computed until you press Build models, and a build that fails the output safety check is reported to you rather than shipped.

Build a model pack in three steps

  1. Choose the construction

    Solid study is a full resin body. Hollow economy is an open cavity with a 2.2 mm wall and automatic drains. Honeycomb economy is the same hollow with an internal rib pattern for a lighter base. Change nothing and you get Solid study with a 6 mm base, no drains, no attachments and no engraving.

  2. Add connections and a label

    Snap connectors and a three-legged tripod are independent, so you can use either, both or neither. The engraving field takes up to 40 characters and must not carry a patient name. Advanced settings hold base height, bite position, and, on a hollow model, the wall and the vents.

  3. Review, then build

    The last step lists the recipe it is about to run. Building spends 1 credit for the case; further variants of the same case are free, up to 20 per case, so you can compare a solid and a hollow of the same arches.

Set the numbers with their ranges in view

Base height2 to 15 mm. The chips offer 3, 5 and 7 mm, and the standard construction starts at 6 mm.
Wall thickness, hollow only2 to 2.5 mm. Thin is 2 mm and Standard is 2.2 mm, which applies unless you change it.
Drain vents, hollow onlyOff unless you switch them on. Hole size is 2.5, 3 or 4 mm, at 3 mm by default. Side vents need a base of at least 3 mm to fit, and the count is planned for you.
Engraved labelUp to 40 characters, debossed unless you switch to embossed. Size 2, 2.4, 2.8 or 3.2 mm, at 2.4 mm by default. Use your own lab reference, never a patient name.
Tripod stopsThree keyed legs on 4 mm posts, placed automatically. There is no manual placement, and the pack ships without stops if no teeth-free region is clear on both jaws.
Bite positionCorrected occlusion unless you pick As scanned. Corrected is the default and is what keeps the models in the bite the case solved.

Answers before you build

No. A raw upper and lower pair is a valid source. If alignment is already complete on this case, the build can use its aligned lower instead.

An upper model file, a lower model file and a manifest that records the recipe. Take the arches separately, or the whole pack as one archive.

Yes. The first build spends the case credit and later variants are free, up to 20 per case.

The base shape you pick is recorded in the manifest, but the current engine exports a flat print base. The base height you set does apply. If a horseshoe base matters for your workflow, tell us and we will prioritise it.

Open the same order again and attach the missing input. The order and the files that did arrive stay in place.

Please do not. The field is for your own lab reference, and patient identifiers do not belong in anything we store.

Yes. Warnings and automatic substitutions are reported on the case rather than hidden, and a printed model is a physical device: confirm the base, the stops and the wall are what your workflow expects before clinical use.

Work through a build that comes back flagged

Why it happens

The requested wall did not fit the scan everywhere. The engine thinned it so the cavity still drains, instead of shipping a model that traps resin.

What to do

Accept it if the model is what you need, or rebuild with a thinner wall or the solid construction. If it repeats on scans you expect to be fine, send us the case number.

Why it happens

The requested wall is thicker than the thinnest part of the scan allows, so the build was refused rather than distorted.

What to do

Change the wall thickness or switch to the solid construction before building again. An unmodified retry is rejected the same way.

Why it happens

Part of the shell measured below the safe minimum, which prints as a fragile or broken wall.

What to do

Increase the wall thickness and build again, or use the solid construction for that case. If the same arch keeps flagging, send us the case number.

Why it happens

The rib pattern failed a printability check on this scan, usually a trapped-resin risk, so the safer construction was built and reported.

What to do

Print it as built, or choose a construction deliberately. Nothing about the substitution is hidden from you.

Why it happens

No teeth-free region was clear on both jaws, so there was nowhere safe to seat the stops.

What to do

The pack ships without stops. If you need them, re-scan with a little more of the ridge included. If that is not possible, handle the models without stops and keep the bite recorded elsewhere.

Why it happens

The finished model failed a watertightness check, so nothing distorted was shipped. The input mesh usually has holes or self-intersections that could not be repaired.

What to do

Rebuild with the solid construction, which tolerates the most input trouble. If the same scan keeps failing, re-export it from the scanner and send us the case number if that does not help.
